The Secrets to Wealth

The key to freedom is wealth. Whether you like it or not the world is run on money. If you don’t believe me, stop working for a while and see how it pans out for you. With this understanding, I have become more obsessed with the challenge and journey to financial freedom. That was the reason for my most recent event.

I put on an event called The Secrets to Wealth. It was a free event I put together to share the secrets to financial freedom, business success, and leadership. These subjects have become a passion of mine. People are struggling and working harder than ever before. It seems like there is no getting out of the hole. I wanted to put on an event that taught the simple principles of financial success. I decided to team up with some of the best mentors and experts I know to put it on. It was awesome. You will see that we packed a lot of education and talent into this one event.

The capacity to learn is a gift; the ability to learn is a skill; the willingness to learn is a choice.

– Brian Herbert

The first speaker and main keynote was Mr. Ross Jardine. He is an incredible entrepreneur and money educator. This man sold his company Investools to TD Ameritrade for a modest 800 million dollars. 800 million! His mission now is teaching people financial wellness. He taught us his simple money hacks; easy tips, tricks, and techniques to get out of debt and become better with our finances.

My favorite hack he taught was to do a personal treasure hunt. What that means is finding and selling things you already have that you no longer need. He talked about going around your home then selling things online or having a yard sale. I started to see all the treasures I was holding onto that I don’t need. I was able to make $400 in two weeks selling stuff online. It was awesome! I can’t imagine what it would have cost to have him come speak, but he offered it up for free, because it is what he loves to do.

We then heard from Ryan Smith who started the company Teach Me to Trade. He owned the company for 20 years with his partner then sold it to the Robert Kiyosaki company. His specialty was teaching people how to trade in the stock market. Ryan was able to share with us his insights on the stock market and Forex markets (foreign currency exchange). I always thought investing was scary and time consuming. Ryan was able to teach us some simple things to understand the markets better and also showed us some simple systems out there that do a lot of the work for you now.

Steven Poulter helped us understand what kind of financial investment was needed to trade in the stock and forex markets. He has over 20 years of experience in trading, with the stories to prove it. He has made and lost millions. He is also  down to earth and fun to listen to.

We all know it takes money to make money, but how much exactly. He taught us that it is $2,000 minimum in the US Stock Market account and as little as $250 in the Forex Markets. His presentation got even better when he described to us that there is no excuse from anyone to say they can’t afford to invest. He laid down simple ideas of how to make extra money. He said you don’t have to do it forever, just until you have some money to work for you. To be financially free you have to have your money working for you. Some of his ideas were driving for Uber/Lyft, delivering pizzas, or even teaching English to Chinese kids online. He actually has been doing the last suggestion to prove it works. Very cool!

Our next speaker was Bryan Robert. Bryan made his first million at the age of 22 in the Network Marketing industry and helped 25 of his friends under the age of 25 make a six figure income. He has been a professional network marketer for over 20 years now and still crushing it in the industry. As an ambassador and consultant of network marketing Bryan has helped to take away the stigmas and give the real view of what network marketing is. Bryan showed us why everyone should have a home based business as a Plan B. He talked about the enormous size of the industry and why it is growing so fast all over the world. If you want to be an entrepreneur this is the way to do it.

Robyn Mancell is a powerful woman. She came all the way out from California to be there and share her wisdom on what it takes to be an Entrepreneur. It was so great to have her and hear her story. She was successful at her job, quickly breaking company records. However, she realized the most important thing in life is your time. She talked about the power of being an entrepreneur and going after your dreams. We all understood that being an entrepreneur is scary, but worth it if you are willing to put in the work.

The finale of the event was Gerald Willhite. Gerald was a first round draft pick for the Denver Broncos in 1982 and played with them until 1988. He played on the biggest stage, Super Bowl XXI against the New York Giants. He made us laugh when he said, “To set the record straight I didn’t play with John Elway; John Elway played with me!” He was such a humble and impressive guy.

Gerald taught us about leadership and the importance of it in all of our lives. He told us that everyone is looking for a leader. He asked this question that made me stop and think hard, “Would you pick you for your team?” I thought that was pretty profound. To me it meant, “Am I doing all that I can to be the best?”. He gave us his Fifteen Rules to Success which were simple yet essential. You will have to catch him at his next event to hear them from him personally.

As you can read there was a ton of valuable information and education at this event. I am briefly summarizing what was shared and it was amazing. I believe one idea or one strategy from an event like this can change a person’s life. That is what drives me forward to do more events like this one. I will keep adding different expert speakers, but with the same mission of financial wellness and personal excellence. I just want to put on events that I would go to myself. I really hope to see you at the next one!
